Muskoka Chautauqua Regatta Mural 2016 |
The focus of our 9th summer season as Artists-in-Residence with Muskoka Chautauqua was to create a mural celebrating the tradition of Muskoka regattas. Working out of the gazebo at Cleveland's House Resort, with Lake Rosseau as a backdrop, we invited guests to participate in daily painting workshops and in one week we completed the mural on two 4' x 8' panels. |

"Our Legacy of Agriculture" - Alliston Feed Service 20th Anniversary 2015 |
Working with the South Simcoe Arts Council, we engaged local emerging artists and students in mural painting workshops at the Gibson Cultural Centre in Alliston. The mural measuring 4' x 20' on 5 panels, is based on the history of agricultural in our community. The mural was mounted along a fence adjacent to the Alliston Feed Service and was unveiled at their 20th Anniversary celebration in September 2015. |

Muskoka Chautauqua Mural 2014 |
To celebrate the resurgence of the Chautauqua movement in Muskoka, we replicated a historic photo illustrating the site of the original Muskoka Chautauqua on Tobin Island in the 1920s, where visitors would find tranquility and inspiration engaging in the arts. Local artists and visitors participated in painting a 'square', learning to apply colour to match the tone of grayscale reference images. |
